There is something powerful that happened in King David’s life before he was ever a King. I feel like I am supposed to summon a generation to a private world and to a public world. A private world that is deep and intimate and a public world that is very bold and very focused.
And I am wanting to challenge you to this tonight.
Repentance means much more than weeping over sin, or even turning from those sins to follow God. In fact, turning from sin to God is more the result of true repentance than it is the actual act. Repentance means you change your way of thinking. And it’s only in changing the way we think that we can discover the focus of Jesus’ ministry— the Kingdom.
This is not just a heavenly mandate to have happy thoughts. Obeying this command is possible only for those who surrender to the grace of God. The renewed mind is the result of a surrendered heart.

The mind either wars against the King and his Kingdom or it is renewed… Being metaphorfied (metamorphosis as in a butterfly), being renewed.
The Renewed Mind is the same basic word that is used for the transforming of Jesus on the mountain in the transfiguration….
Jesus’s clothes radiated, his person is radiating the presence of God.
I believe that is the prophetic picture of what the renewed mind looks like, it actually radiates the reality of another world.
The renewed mind is to work in conjunction with heavenly realities so that become manifest on earth

There must be something that it’s sooooo valuable, that is worth sooooo much that it’s worth the price for us to be free, Even though what we do sometimes is evil. And that thing is Love…. He wants your love and you to love others from a point of free will… self-responsibility, self control from within that free will.
One very interesting thing to think on through your years is Free Will. How free am I. In Gen 1 when God created Adam and Eve, he created them in his own image. This is Father talk. (Claire is in my image, literally in many ways.) He let them run Naked, he walked with them in the Garden, he gave them only 1 rule. Don’t eat of the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. He didn’t warn them about a talking snake, he didn’t warn them about where the snake would come from. From what we can tell he only told them you will surely die. He didn’t have to put the tree there, he could have controled them with only good and good choices, rather than bad and good…..

Becoming a Moses
We all need a Moses for the journey. We need a Moses because we cannot do it alone. Life in Egypt breeds loneliness, fear, and isolation. But having a Moses in our life enables us to face our enslavements and casts a vision of hope.
Ok so I left the house on the way to hub camp randomly around 11:00 am on Saturday. Was going to leave later but I felt like that would make for a leisherly drive. I wanted to have 3 hours of driving just percolating on the things of God and see what came of that. As I drove I remembered through Hub Camp 2013 and at one point it hit me…. Just fell into my head…. Hub Camp is several days of giving a bunch of kids an opportunity to continuously eat from the Tree of Life. A feast if you will and yes some gorge on it. Some barely taste of it but that is where the change comes from… Eating from the Tree of Life.
In order to have good news to tell, the good news of the Gospels has to be just that to you Good News. If it’s not that then you are faking it until you make it. Of course there are levels to this but when you have news you can’t help but tell then you have arrived at the point I am speaking too and experiencing.
I didn’t have that kind of Good News until my dad’s passing. I had pieces of Good News, but now I have something much different, I have a whole story. I have arrived at a place of mostly constant very clear thinking, very easy emotions to live with. That news is so good and telling how I got to that reality is why I want to practice leading other people through a similar freedom experience that I went through.
It could be looked at as trying to have one hammer for every nail, but then maybe not. Everyone needs a much deeper dose of Identity and everyone needs to hear God’s voice more clearly. I am finding many “Old Christians” need one or the other of those for the first time…..Obviously new ones too.
I can’t shake these words, they are a game changer:
If your God is the punisher in the sky
If he is a distant God
If he is expecting you to perform to some great extent…
If he is “fill in the blank” anything other than a good father wanting to have a relationship with you…
There is no other path than tearing down that idol, that image of a false God.

I have been so aggressive pursuing knowledge of “Him” for the last two years. Really this is not bragging, I am just that way, I run hard at something that I decide to do. Old friends tell me this all the time….. we have a large church and I talk to people, I ask them things in various ways, things that tell me how they spend their time. I am just bizarre in how much I try to absorb…. After all of that effort the following is a little difficult to absorb and confusing in some ways.
I have acquired over 1000 books on the bible and Christianity in 2 years, and I have tried to read as many as I could…
